This pen and ink 'stipple' drawing is made up entirely, 100%, of pen ink dots. The drawing took a total of 143 hours to complete. Based on 4 dots per second this drawing is made up of approximately 2 million ink dots.

The drawing is based upon, and a celebration of, the artwork of 2 Joy Division album covers; Unknown Pleasures and Closer. The cover of Unknown Pleasures depicts a data plot of signals from a radio pulsar. The cover of Closer shows a part of the Appiani family tomb in Genoa's Monumental Cemetery of Staglieno. The drawing is an amalgamation of the two.
