acrylic/mixed media on canvas
The overall dimension given of 200cm in width allows for a 5cm, or 2 inch, gap between canvases left and centre, and centre and right. The gap can be adjusted as desired.
Included in the images are the 3 individual sections of the painting plus some close up detail and side views.
All of the paints used in this painting have a metallic finish and the finished beauty of the piece is difficult to fully capture in the photographs. The finish of all colours used have a beautiful and striking pearlescent quality. The marbled effect created by the process and technique that I have developed. The colours used are a grey pearl background with the marbling comprised of red, gold, grey pearl and copper.
Vortex: A whirling mass of water or air that sucks everything near it toward its centre: a whirlpool or hurricane/typhoon/cyclone. A hurricane is a storm that occurs in the Atlantic Ocean and northeastern Pacific Ocean, a typhoon occurs in the northwestern Pacific Ocean, and a cyclone occurs in the south Pacific or Indian Ocean.
