This painting reminds me of my childhood and family holidays spent in Cornwall many years ago. Inspired by a picture or photograph I saw somewhere. Highly textured painting and very tactile. It also goes to prove that accidents with paint can have a happy outcome. A few accidental spots of paint turned into A Flock of Seagulls: It's something to remind me, I wouldn't spend my life just wishing......this painting, it also reminds me of childhood fears, afraid to venture out into the open world, I'd rather stay here, safely inside my cocoon.
